United Way announces 9th annual Chili Cook-Off contest
FORT ATKINSON, WI – October 7, 2008 – The
United Way of Jefferson and North Walworth Counties, announces
that the organization will be sponsoring its annual Chili Cook-Off
on Saturday, November 8th at 6:00 p.m. in the Fort Atkinson Municipal
Building, 101 N. Main Street, immediately following the Fort
Atkinson Holiday parade. Jones Dairy Farm and Fort HealthCare
are co-sponsoring this year’s event.
At a one time cost
of $3.00 per cup, the public is invited to sample over a dozen
different types of traditional and specialty chili. Hot dogs,
soda, chips and water will also be available for purchase.
Before
heading back to the North Pole, Santa will be available to meet
with children. Families may wish to purchase a $5 keepsake photo
of their children with Santa.

the Chili Cook-off may call Dan McCrea at the United Way office

information including an entry
form. There is no fee for entering
the chili cook-off. Trophies will be awarded for Best Traditional
Chili, Best Specialty Chili, People’s Choice and Best Table
Decoration.
