Way Months in the state of Wisconsin, and urge Wisconsin

SAMPLE
Governor James Doyle recently designated the months of September
and October, 2005, as United Way Months in Wisconsin, in recognition
of the start of fall campaigns by United Ways throughout the state.
The proclamation highlights the need for United Ways in Wisconsin
to continue to be successful in mobilizing the caring power of
communities to meet the needs of Wisconsin citizens. United Ways,
based in communities throughout Wisconsin, work to measurably improve
lives and build stronger, healthier communities. Through annual
fund-raising drives they are able to invest in programs and services
to help address their communities’ most critical issues.
Their efforts include helping children and youth succeed, strengthening
and supporting families, promoting self-sufficiency, building safe
neighborhoods and supporting vulnerable and aging populations.
In 2004, Wisconsin's United Ways, serving as the primary source
of private funds, collectively raised over 94 million dollars to
support human services.
